Code Enforcement

Our Code Enforcement team works with residents to keep neighborhoods safe and tidy—and we’re happy to point you to the right place if you spot a concern.

Beginning July 1, 2021, the City of Satellite Beach may no longer investigate or initiate Code Enforcement action from anonymous complaints, pursuant with Florida law, and except as provided below. The same requirements apply to complaints submitted online, in-person, by phone, mail, email, or other means of submission.

Florida law does allow anonymous complaint for circumstances that present an imminent threat to public health, safety, or welfare, or the imminent destruction of habitat or sensitive resources. To submit a complaint related to these circumstances, please contact the Satellite Beach Community Development Department at 321-773-4409.

To submit a Code Enforcement complaint, please complete and submit the following Code Enforcement Complaint Form.

City Code: To view the City of Satellite Beach ordinances, go to Municode and select Satellite Beach → Code of Ordinances. Use the search bar for topics like landscaping, recreational vehicles, Business Tax Receipts, or work without a permit. If you’re not sure where your question fits—just call us at 321-773-4409 and we’ll help you out.

Suspect unlicensed contracting or someone working beyond their license? Report it to the Florida DBPR: “File a Complaint” or “Report Unlicensed Activity”

Seeing work without a permit or verify a contractor? Call our Building Division and, if appropriate, also notify DBPR or Check Brevard County Contractor Licensing.

Concerns about pollution or illicit discharges go to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).

Wildlife issues—like sea turtle nest disturbance, manatees, shorebirds, poaching, or boating violations—should be reported to FWC Wildlife Alert at 888-404-FWCC (3922) or
