Since the incorporation of the City of Satellite Beach in 1957, the Satellite Beach Police Department has proudly safeguarded our community while adapting to meet the evolving needs of those we serve. Throughout our history, we have remained dedicated to preserving the safe, welcoming, and family-oriented character that makes Satellite Beach a truly special place to live, work, and visit.

The Satellite Beach Police Department - Hartmann & Flagg Police Station proudly honors the memory of Sergeant E. Edward Hartmann and Officer Philip J. Flagg, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on May 31, 1992, when they were tragically killed by an impaired driver while protecting the citizens of Satellite Beach.

Their courage, dedication, and selfless service remain an enduring part of our department's identity. Every member of our agency is committed to carrying forward the legacy they left behind by serving our community with the same honor, integrity, and unwavering commitment they exemplified. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and their names will forever stand as a symbol of service, courage, and devotion to the community they proudly served.

Today, our department is comprised of 25 sworn law enforcement officers and a dedicated team of professional civilian employees who work together to deliver exceptional public safety services. Through specialized training, innovative policing strategies, and meaningful community partnerships, we strive to prevent crime, protect lives and property, and enhance the quality of life for everyone who calls Satellite Beach home.
