Public Education
Our CITIZEN'S FIRE ACADEMY (CFA) is offered each Spring. It is designed to create a fun and educational atmosphere for City residents and business owners to learn of the dangers and the honors of serving as a Satellite Beach firefighter.
Each session features an expert instructor who uses their experience and skills to assist each student in both classroom and hands-on demonstrations. Past students have ranged in age from mid-20's to over 80 years old. Certain activities may involve a moderate degree of physical exertion. Participation in any portion is entirely voluntary. Most health concerns are easily accommodated.
APPLICANTS must be 18+ years old and a resident of the City of Satellite Beach or the owner/operator of a business in the City. Applications are available at the Fire Department in early January.
