Interim Deputy Chief Ronnie Kinsey joined the Satellite Beach Police Department in 2020 upon relocating to Satellite Beach. Previously, he served nine years with the Clayton County Police Department near Atlanta, where he held roles in various specialized units including Uniform Patrol, Motor Vehicle Crash Investigations, Georgia’s H.E.A.T. Unit, and the Criminal Investigations Division. He also supervised the Uniform Patrol Division and led an Armed Robbery Suppression Unit.
Interim Deputy Chief Kinsey holds two earned degrees: a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Clayton State University in Morrow, GA, and a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Leadership from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. He is a 2024 graduate of the University of Louisville Southern Police Institute's 94th Command Officer's Development Course, a rigorous academic program that prepares the next generation of law enforcement leadership executives.
He has accumulated nearly 2,000 hours of police training, including active certifications in Georgia and Florida, extensive expertise in DUI and impaired driving investigations, and specialized training in Internal Affairs, Advanced Criminal Procedures, and advanced supervision techniques.
His primary area of specialization is traffic crash reconstruction. Currently, he heads the Traffic Homicide Investigations Unit at the Satellite Beach Police Department and leads the Beachside T.H.I. Taskforce, comprising Traffic Homicide Investigators from four agencies in Brevard County tasked with reconstructing fatal motor vehicle accidents.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Interim Deputy Chief Kinsey treasures time spent with his wife and children. He is conversational in Spanish, enjoys traveling, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, and motorcycle riding. His favorite place to travel is the country of Uganda, where he has been three times to do humanitarian work in the East African region.
Lieutenant Anthony Holland was born and raised in New Jersey, graduating from Mount Olive High School in 2003. His journey into public service began in 2006 when, at twenty years old, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. After completing basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, he served as a member of the USAF Security Forces Unit (Military Police).
In 2010, Lieutenant Holland transferred to the USAF Reserves and relocated to Patrick Air Force Base, joining the 45th Security Forces Squadron. While Lieutenant Holland was stationed at Patrick Air Force Base, he was hired as a Corrections Deputy for the Brevard County Sheriff's Office. Lt. Holland worked for the Brevard County Sheriff's Office as a Corrections Deputy for three years. During this time, he enrolled in and attended the Corrections to Law Enforcement crossover academy at Eastern Florida State College, paving the way for his career as a Police Officer with the Satellite Beach Police Department.
In 2013 Lieutenant Holland was hired by the Satellite Beach Police Department and served in the Uniformed Patrol Division before transferring to the Criminal Investigations Division as a detective in 2016. He was promoted to Corporal in 2017, Sergeant in 2019, and promoted to Lieutenant in 2022. Currently, he oversees the Criminal Investigations Division, School Resource Officer Unit, and the Communications Division. In 2021, Lieutenant Holland completed the Florida Leadership Academy (FLA Class #48), offered by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, enhancing his leadership and professional skills.
Lieutenant Holland has been recognized through many awards, including multiple Officer of the Quarter awards, the Hartmann/Flagg DUI Enforcement Officer of the Year award, and a Life Saving award in 2022.
On his off days, Lieutenant Holland enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons and daughter.
