The Patrol & Traffic Division is the foundation of the Satellite Beach Police Department’s operations. These dedicated officers serve as the department’s first responders, providing continuous coverage to protect residents, visitors, and businesses within our city limits. Whether responding to emergencies, enforcing traffic laws, or engaging with the community, the men and women of this division are committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment in Satellite Beach.

Patrol Operations

Patrol officers provide 24-hour police services throughout the City of Satellite Beach. They respond to calls for service, conduct proactive patrols, perform directed traffic enforcement, and participate in community outreach events to enhance neighborhood safety and trust.

Officers also collaborate with surrounding jurisdictions and specialized units to ensure coordinated emergency response across Brevard County.

Traffic Enforcement

The Traffic Unit focuses on promoting roadway safety through education, visibility, and enforcement. Officers conduct speed enforcement operations, DUI interdictions, and safety campaigns targeting distracted or impaired driving.

The unit also assists with large-scale city events, parades, and school traffic management to ensure smooth and safe travel throughout the city.

Marine Patrol

The Marine Patrol Unit provides law enforcement services on the waterways surrounding Satellite Beach. Officers enforce boating safety laws, assist with rescues, and work closely with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to ensure the safety of boaters and marine life.

ATV Patrol

The ATV Patrol Unit enhances accessibility for officers to reach the city’s beaches, parks, and off-road areas. This specialized team enforces beach ordinances, assists during community events, and supports search and rescue operations in areas inaccessible by patrol cars.
