Emergency Response Team
The Satellite Beach Police Department’s Property & Evidence Division is responsible for the secure storage and management of case evidence as well as found property.
The Satellite Beach Police Department's Emergency Response Team (E.R.T.) is comprised of 10 sworn officers who receive extensive advanced training in high risk and critical incident situations.
E.R.T. members are carefully evaluated and selected based on their overall judgement, tactical ability, and training record. Each team member is required to demonstrate proficiency with a number of specialized weapons. The E.R.T. members train together continuously to ensure the highest level of proficiency in the event a serious incident evolves beyond what the normal patrol officer is trained or equipped to safely resolve.
