Volunteer Program
The Satellite Beach Police Department is looking for responsible, dependable, adults who want to make a difference in our community through volunteer service. Donate your time and talents in one of our volunteer programs, including:
Citizens on Patrol – Volunteers patrol the boundaries of the city while driving our Citizens on Patrol
car, reporting any suspicious activity, acting as our eyes and ears and also run errands for the police
department.
Bike Patrol – Volunteers ride bicycles provided by the police department throughout the city; acting
as our eyes and ears and reporting any suspicious activity.
Marine Patrol – We have volunteers who patrol the Grand Canal and inner canals providing high
visibility on the waters in Satellite Beach. **There are some training requirements for this volunteer
position.
ATV Beach Patrol – We patrol the 2.5 square miles of our beaches searching for suspicious activity,
people, or objects. **Training requirements apply.
Fingerprints – This position will be trained to use our Livescan fingerprint machine, and works
independently.
Special Events – Volunteers run errands, deliver Council packages, and whatever is needed at the
time. There are also various city functions such as participating in the Founders Day Parade, helping
with Twilight Santa, etc.
Stop By & Say Hi Program – Volunteers visit with city residents in groups of two to offer friendship
and support to mostly homebound, elderly residents.
