Samsons Island Nature Park

The Indian River Lagoon has many spoil islands, but none as beautiful as Samsons Island. In the early 1990’s, city volunteers began work to eradicate exotic plants, introduce native vegetation, and provide park amenities such as picnic areas and grills. Just like any other nature park, maintenance efforts are on going and the City continually welcomes volunteers to assist with these duties.

HOW TO ACCESS SAMSONS ISLAND

Samsons Island is accessible only by water, with public docks available on the north, east, and south sides. The City of Satellite Beach offers free monthly eco tours, including boat transportation to and from the island. Tours depart at 9:00 AM from the Satellite Beach Fire Department on the first Sunday of each month, and guests return by 12:00 PM.
📅 Reservations are required due to limited space and open on the 1st of the month preceding the tour.
