Recycling Opportunities
Reduce - Reuse - Recycle
The Recreation Department is leading a city-wide effort to promote the Three R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. This initiative targets citizens, city departments, and businesses.
In addition to educating the community on the benefits of recycling, we provide and coordinate expanded recycling opportunities. The David R. Schechter (DRS) Community Center, located at 1089 South Patrick Drive, serves as a hub for these community recycling efforts.

Ways to Support Recycling Efforts
As a Citizen:
- Support various "Three R's" (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) opportunities.
- Share any recycling methods you use so we can spread the word.
- Encourage your neighbors to participate in recycling initiatives.
As a Business, Church, School, or Organization:
- Let us know if you offer a public recycling program, such as collecting blankets for injured animals.
- We may be able to provide space at our DRS Recycling Center to support your efforts.
- Let us know if your organization recycles anything, and we can acknowledge your contributions!
